Mark Anton Read’s Artwork in the Final Round for WTN Award

Mark Anton Read’s artwork See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, is in the final round for the 2013 World Technology Awards which will be presented at the WTN conference in New York this week.

For this project, Mark developed a unique HDR X-Ray process that allowed him to reproduce both skin, flesh and bones in the imagery in a way that is not possible in traditional X-Ray photography.

After the completion of this digital HDR process, the artwork was then printed on gelatin silver print film in an analog process that preserves the full resolution and tone mapping of the supersampled image file. The resulting print is then mounted on fiber-paper and micro-machined and cut at a receding angle so that the image appears to be floating in the frame without visible thickness to the substrate.

The artwork is currently in the final production stage and will be presented at US and international art events in the coming months.
